Week four has come and gone, with conference play beginning to heat up in the TVC Hocking.

Trimble continues to be the standard for performance in the conference, but the Miller Falcons, who boasted one win in 2014, have also emerged as a title front-runner.

Friday’s match-up will prove whether or not Miller has what it takes to make a serious run at the title.

Belpre remains in the mix after routing Wahama. Deijon Bedgood continued his monster campaign, piling on three touchdowns and registering an interception on defense.

1.) Trimble Tomcats 3-1 (3-0) | Last Rank: 1 | Next Opponent vs. Miller

The Tomcats have roared back from their week one loss, outscoring opponents 107-30. Barring any drastic injuries or other events, a win on Friday would put Trimble in a favorable position to win the conference.

2.) Miller Falcons 4-0 (3-0) | Last Rank: 2 | Next Opponent @ Trimble

The Falcons kept their undefeated season rolling with an impressive 41-13 victory over the Southern Tornadoes, but they have yet to face an opponent of Trimble’s caliber.

3. Belpre Golden Eagles 2-2 (2-1) | Last Rank: 3 | Next Opponent @ Southern

Belpre seems to have shaken off the early season rust which plagued it, responding with blowout wins over Federal Hocking and Wahama.

4.) South Gallia Rebels 2-2 (1-1) | Last Rank: 5 | Next Opponent vs. Eastern

The past three weeks have been a roller coaster ride for the Rebels, registering two lopsided wins with a blowout loss to Trimble sandwiched in-between them. Normally, the roller coaster would trend down, but Eastern has struggled mightily this season.

5.) Southern Tornadoes 2-2 (1-1) | Last Rank: 6 | Next Opponent vs. Belpre

Southern’s lopsided 41-13 loss to Miller was the first blowout the Tornadoes experienced of any kind. Their first three games (1-2) were decided by an average of 6.4 points.

6.) Waterford Wildcats 1-3 (1-2) | Last Rank: 4 | Next Opponent @ Frontier

Considering Trimble’s strength, an 11-point loss to the Tomcats is an impressive feat. The Wildcats also only lost to Miller by two points.

7.) Eastern Eagles 1-3 (1-1) | Last Rank: 8 | Next Opponent @ South Gallia

Eastern’s 39-point performance was a far cry from its first three games in which it scored a grand total of six points.

8.) Wahama White Falcons 1-3 (0-3) | Last Rank: 7 | Next Opponent vs. Federal Hocking

The bad news: Wahama ran into the high-speed locomotive that is Belpre’s offense last week. The good news: a winnable game against Federal Hocking is next.

9.) Federal Hocking Lancers 0-4 (0-3) | Last Rank: 9 | Next Opponent @ Wahama

Federal Hocking is coming off of a season-high 18-point performance and has registered double-digit point totals on three occasions, which is more than Wahama and Waterford can say.
