After a successful inaugural event in 2014, the Athens Area Fiber Faire is returning on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 4 from 12-5 p.m.

Hosted by the Athens County Knitters and ARTS/West, last year’s Fiber Faire exceeded expectations; so much so that it has been moved to a larger facility–the Athens Community Center.

In addition to adult classes throughout the weekend in spinning, felting, knitting, tatting, tapestry, crochet and more, the weekend will offer kids’ classes, vendors selling supplies and accessories that relate to fiber arts, a knitting/crocheting circle, live fiber animals to see up close, demonstrations of both contemporary and historic techniques, fashion shows both days, wearable fiber art, raffles, food vendors and more.

Admission is $3 at the door. Children 12 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult admission. An AAFF fabric project bag will be available for $12.

For details, including class descriptions,  visit the Athens Area Fiber Faire Facebook page, Ravelry.com or email athensareafiberfaire@gmail.com.
