Schoolchildren to Learn About the Brain at Marshall Expo
< < Back toHUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) – Marshall University is giving elementary school students an opportunity to learn about the brain and nervous system.
Marshall will host a Brain Expo on Friday. More than 400 students are expected to attend the event.
The university says 27 interactive stations in the Memorial Student Center will allow students to explore various parts of their nervous systems. Activities include a memory game, learning to juggle and building brain cell-shaped key chains.
Activities will be overseen by Marshall faculty and students from the College of Science, the Department of Psychology and the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
