Southeastern Ohio Athletic League

 Logan Chieftains (5-0, 0-0) | Next opponent: @ Shadyside (1-4)

Logan’s offense kept its foot on the gas against rival Nelsonville-York, hanging 41 on the Buckeyes. Lane Little finished with 223 yards and three scores through the air. Logan will have one more tune-up game against a struggling Shadyside team before taking on Jackson, a game which will likely determine the SEOAL champion.

Jackson Ironmen (4-1, 0-0) | Next opponent: @ Warren (0-5)

Much like Logan, Jackson’s next game will serve as a tune-up to its week seven match-up, but the Ironmen will likely have a fire lit underneath them on Friday. Jackson’s week five 28-7 loss to Wheelersburg was its first regular season loss since week seven of 2013.

The opponent that night: Logan.

Warren Warriors (0-5, 0-0) | Next opponent: Vs. Jackson (4-1, 0-0)

The Warriors offense is struggling this year to say the least. Last week, Warren put up only six points and only have scored 13 on the season. Life won’t get any easier when the league’s best defense in Jackson comes to town on Friday.

Gallia Academy Blue Devils (0-5, 0-0) | Next opponent: Vs. Athens (2-3, 1-1)

Gallia Academy’s 29 points against Point Pleasant stands as the season high and a hot and cold Athens defense is coming up next. However, Gallia Academy’s defense was gashed for 76 points against a talent-laden Point Pleasant squad.

Mid-State League

Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs (3-2, 1-1) | Next opponent: Vs. Circleville (4-1)

Bloom-Carroll has played in two consecutive blowout games, coming out on either end in each occasion. The Bulldogs fell to Logan Elm 52-7 on Friday after routing Liberty Union 49-13 the week prior.

Fairfield Union Falcons (2-3, 0-2) | Next opponent: Vs. Amanda-Clearcreek (1-4, 0-2)

Fairfield Union’s defense has been night and day, allowing single-digit point totals on two occasions while letting up over 30 during its other three games. Meanwhile on offense, it’s been all night. The Falcons are averaging just 8.8 points per contest.

Amanda-Clearcreek Aces (1-4, 0-2) | Next opponent: @ Fairfield Union (2-3, 0-2)

The Aces are coming off of their fourth-straight loss, a 27-12 defeat at Teays Valley, but a game against Fairfield Union presents a legitimate chance at breaking the streak,

Scioto Valley Conference

Zane Trace Pioneers (5-0, 2-0) | Next Opponent: Vs. Paint Valley

After posting a second-straight shutout, Zane Trace is completely dominating the SVC. Its defense has given up 8.2 points per game while its offense has yet to put up fewer than 34 points.

Friday’s heavyweight match-up against Paint Valley will determine whether or not the Pioneers are the team to beat in the conference.

Unioto Sherman Tanks (2-3, 0-2) | Next opponent: @ Southeastern (1-4)

Coming off of two losses to the conference’s best teams in Zane Trace and Paint Valley, Southeastern is a welcome sight.
