< < Back to names sophomore linebacker Quentin Poling MAC defensive player of the week for his performance in Ohio’s 14-12 win over Akron.

Poling recorded a game-high 11 tackles including 2 tackles for loss and one sack. He also picked off Thomas Woodson for Poling’s first interception of the year.

But it wasn’t Poling’s first takeaway. He has two forced fumbles on the season.

With Jovon Johnson out due to injury, Poling has more on his shoulders in just his sophomore season.

Poling leads the Bobcats in tackles with 39 and in tackles for loss with 4.

After holding the Zips out of the end zone Saturday, Poling and the Ohio defense will try to stop Miami (OH), who is averaging 17.4 points per game this season.
