The Lady Lancers had a light schedule this past week, playing only one game at home.
Federal Hocking faced Belpre on Dec. 10 and ultimately fell short losing to the Lady Golden Eagles 41-30.
Despite taking another defeat, the Lady Lancers kept the game closely contested. The score gap between the two teams remained short throughout the game. In the end it was only an 11-point loss for Fed Hock, a major improvement from games earlier in the season.
The Lady Lancers put up a good fight against a powerhouse in the conference. Fed Hock has been working on their passing technique and ball handling to get the ball moving down court efficiently, and they’re progress showed this game.
Prior to the matchup, all three of the team’s losses had been lost by 20 or more points. The largest loss of the season came against Alexander, when the Lady Spartans defeated Fed Hock by 41 points.
The Lady Lancers also hope to foul less in their coming games. The team has accumulated multiple fouls in each game.
Fed Hock hopes to continue to grow throughout the season, taking this week’s 11-point loss as a positive heading into next week’s games.
The Lady Lancers have three chances to improve, traveling early in the week to South Gallia on Dec. 14. The team then hosts Miller and Waterford on Dec. 17 and 19 respectively.
