Ryan Prestel is the young CEO of JADETRACK – a company for real-time monitoring and sustainability management software.

He calls himself a “serial entrepreneur with an affinity for using technology to create solutions to complex business problems.”
His company is using cloud-based software to help other companies maximize the value of their sustainability programs.

Prestel, a 2007 Scripps College graduate, talks with WOUB’s Tom Hodson about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and innovator in the 21st century.

Currently at JadeTrack, Prestel is using cloud based software to help companies maximize the value of their sustainability programs.

He believes that one must measure everything and the businesses he has developed enable other companies to improve their abilities to measure and plan.

Since graduating from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication in 2007, Prestel has worked for Fortune 500 and Fortune1000 companies as well as privately held high growth startups.

He has worked for the Scotts Company along with Abercrombie and Fitch, Wendy’s and AOL.

He has a wide range of business experiences which helps him relate to his clients and understand the issues they face.

Recently, Prestel returned to campus to be a featured speaker at the annual Scripps Innovation Challenge sponsored by the Scripps College of Communication.
