Arrests Made After Alleged Transport of Drugs By Greyhound Bus

ASHLAND, Ky (WSAZ) — A tip regarding a large amount of narcotics being transported from Detroit to Ashland, Kentucky, on a Greyhound bus netted three arrests Wednesday morning.

Boyd County deputies tell WSAZ that undercover units saw a man get off the bus and into a black pickup truck.

Deputies say after pulling the driver over, they found 51 grams of heroin, marijuana, and Xanax tablets inside the truck.

48-year-old Floyd Stevenson, of Detroit was arrested and charged with importing heroin, trafficking heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

46-year-old Bruce Williams, also of Detroit, and 42-year-old David Adkins, of Portsmouth, Ohio were also arrested and charged with complicity to importing heroin and complicity to trafficking heroin.

All three are now lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
