Marco Benevento and members of Superhuman Happiness came together Sunday afternoon at NMF ’16 to form Kiss the Viper’s Fang, a David Bowie tribute band.

The name comes from a lyric from “Quicksand,” a tune on Bowie’s 1971 album “Hunky Dory.” The group opened up with a rendition of “Soul Love,” which was originally released in 1972 on Bowie’s “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.” Despite the rainstorm that picked up during the performance, the crowd kept on, many festival-goers crooning alongside the band throughout their set.
