It’s week three already and an important week awaits the Meigs Marauders(1-1) and the Logan Chieftains(0-2). With the importance the game brings, both teams are fighting for something different.

Meigs will being looking to try to pull away from the pack in the crowded TVC-Ohio race as 4 of the 6 other teams are also 1-1.They will be coming off a 21-14 loss to Amanda-Clearcreek and will try to bounce back this week and won’t take Logan lightly. Meigs’ head coach Mike Bartrum is trying to pump up his team after last week’s loss.

“It’s not about what happens,” Bartrum said. “It’s how you react.”

On the other side of the ball, Logan is coming into this week looking to pick up its first win of the season in this non-conference battle. Logan has had a difficult first two weeks only combining for 181 total yards through the two games.

Logan hasn’t been able to find its comfort zone on offense yet this season or that go-to player on offense the year after losing record-breaking quarterback Lane Little to graduation. The Chieftain defense just hasn’t been able to get a breath and get off the field.

Last year, the Chieftains didn’t get their first loss until week 7 last year and have not got to the start that they wanted. They will be looking to get on the board this week after two shutouts the previous weeks against bigger opponents.

With the records, Logan still has controlled the Marauders the past two match-ups.
