No. 1 Ohio hockey hit the road this weekend traveling to Ames, Iowa, to face off against the Iowa State Cyclones in an ACHA top ten matchup. Friday night the Bobcats went 2-5 on the power play, getting the two goals in the third period to break 2-2 tie and win 4-2.

However, Saturday night was a little different. Ohio fell behind 4-0 before battling their way back to tie the score at 4-4 with goals from Matt Hartman, Joe Breslin, Garrett Jenkins, and Tyler Harkins, but OU fell in a shootout 5-4. This was the first time in two years that the Cyclones have knocked off Ohio. The Bobcats will return home to Bird Ice Arena next weekend against the Illinois Fighting Illini, with puck drop set for 7:30 on Friday and Saturday.
