The Federal Hocking Lancers men’s team added another loss to their season when they went up against the Wahama White Falcons but on the girl’s side, the Lady Lancers added a win to theirs when they played the Trimble Lady Tomcats.

On Dec. 20, Wahama came to take down the Lancers men’s team and they did just that. The Lancers had another hard loss, losing 79 to 41 against Wahama. Even though Jared Hawk picked up a solid 14 points, making him the leading scorer of his team, the boys were not able to come out with a win. Walker Church lead the team with seven rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to mask the 15 total team turnovers that the boys had.

Coach Josh said that overall he thinks the boys are “looking a little better offensively, as is evident with point totals increasing with each game, but they still need to control the ball in order to dictate the pace of the game and limit their opponent’s possessions”.

Ball control is important, as is focus, and the boys just don’t have their head one hundred percent in the game yet. Coach said he is extremely satisfied with the effort the boys are giving though. They refuse to give up.

The Federal Hocking Lady Lancers traveled to Trimble on Dec. 22 where they received an early Christmas present with a big win over the Trimble Tomcats, 43-28.

The Lady Lancers are on a two game winning streak. They are finally stepping up their game after having lost six games in a row.

The girls will see if they can keep this winning streak up at their next game at Belpre on Dec. 29 while the boys will try to get their first win against Nelsonville-York at home on Dec. 28.
