The Trimble Tomcats had only a single game in the past week, a 69-58 loss on the at the hands of the Crooksville Ceramics, dropping the Tomcats to 4-3 on the season.

The Tomcats traveled to Crooksville to face the Ceramics. The game started off well for the Tomcats as they jumped out to an early 7-3 lead. The lead faded quickly as the Ceramics clamped down and held Trimble to only two points over the next three minutes. Crooksville held Trimble to only 19 points in the first half and took a sizeable lead into halftime.

Trimble seemed to find their stride scoring wise in the second half. The Tomcats came out putting up 17 points in the third quarter as well as 25 in the fourth. But the biggest problem of the night for the Tomcats was the Ceramics scoring, to which they could do nothing to stymie.

Coach Caldwell of Trimble said the game was a complete “catch-22” because of his teams inability to score and then to stop Crooksville’s scoring. The Tomcats return home for a match up against Waterford.

The Trimble Lady Tomcats had two games this past week, a 37-33 Win against St. Joe and a 63-30 Loss at Crooksville. The win and loss moved the Lady Tomcats to a 3-7 season.

Trimble was home for the game against St. Joe. It was a low scoring affair that was close all the way down to the wire and highlighted by stingy defense.

On Friday the Lady Tomcats headed to Crooksville to take on the Ceramics. They were completely dismantled by the Ceramics high powered offense in a blow out 63-30 loss.

Next week the Lady Tomcats continue their season at home against Southern.
