Ohio Travels to Buffalo for Final Road Game of Season

In what will be the final road game of the season, the Ohio Bobcats travel into Buffalo in hopes to get a much needed victory against the Bulls on Wednesday night. Ohio is on a two-game losing streak after tough loses against first place Central Michigan last Wednesday and to division rival Kent State on Saturday.

The good news for the Bobcats, however, is they beat Buffalo in their only meeting earlier in the year by a whopping score of 83-55 on Jan. 4. Needless to say, the team will have to come out with the same mentality as they had in the prior meeting if they hope to come out of New York with the victory.

The Bobcats are currently tied for first place in the Mid-American Conference East division with Kent State with a conference record of 9-5, but don’t own the tie breaker as they have lost both meetings with the Golden Flashes this season.

Overall, it’s about that time of year where every game, possession and shot is crucial as March Madness is on the horizon and tournament time is coming up.

Luckily for Ohio, they’re next four opponents – Buffalo, Miami (OH), Bowling Green, and Akron – are at the bottom of the division, Ohio has beaten all of them in their first meetings earlier in the year and the final three games will be at home.

If the Bobcats have any hopes of making a serious push late in the season, it will start Wednesday night against Buffalo. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and can be seen from ESPN3.
