The Dairy Barn Arts Center is pleased to announce we are now accepting submissions for our upcoming all media, juried exhibition OH+5 ’18. The 10th in a series of competitions, OH+5 serves to promote artists residing in Ohio and its five bordering states: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. OH+5 aims to feature new work that provides the viewer with an appreciation of a variety of media, techniques and innovative trends in contemporary art.

This year’s jurors are Tim Bearse, an Ohio University Fine Arts Professor, Kim Beck, an Associate Professor in the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University and artist whose work includes drawing, print, installation and sculpture and Dana Goodman, a professor of ceramics and sculpture at IPFW.

“OH+5 is a unique and exciting exhibition in that it gives us the ability to bring together innovative concepts, materials and techniques from contemporary artists working in the Midwest,” said Kelsey Dillow, Exhibitions Manager at The Dairy Barn Arts Center. “OH+5 provides a platform for artists in this region to share their creative voices and create a dialog amongst the community.”

Submissions will be accepted now through November 20th 2017. Artists may submit up to three works. Any artist 18 and older, living in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania or West Virginia may submit. Works created in any media, including installations, are accepted. Innovative, contemporary work is encouraged.
