Aquabear Legion Celebrates Release of Volume 6 Compilation Oct. 13

Athens based Ohio music and art collective Aquabear Legion will be celebrating the release of its newest compilation, Volume 6 at The Union (15 W. Union Street in Athens) on Friday, October 13. Live music from Volume 6 artists: Water Witches (Athens), Bloody Show (Columbus), and Adam Remnant (Athens) along with special guests Weedghost. Doors open at 9 p.m. and music will start a little ways after that, admission will be $5 and Aquabear will have copies of the new compilation for sale along with old releases, new shirts, and more.

Aquabear Legion Volume 6 will include music from 23 Ohio bands on 2 LPs, bands on this album hail from Athens, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Kent, and more. Bands include: Bloody Show, Bridesmaid, Day Creeper, Extra Medium Pony, Andy Gabbard, Hadak Ura, Brian Harnetty, SW Hedrick, Hex Net, Caitlin Kraus, Leggy, Mary Lynn, Natural Sway, Palestras, Adam Remnant, R. Ring, The Safeties, Smug Brothers, Swarming Branch, Talons’, Vacation, The Village Bicycle, and Water Witches. A digital download of the compilation is also available.

Since 2004, Aquabear has worked with over 250 bands and dozens of visual artists and filmmakers. And in that time produced 12 releases including compilations of Ohio music both physical and for free on aquabearlegion.com.
