Chatting Levon Helm, Art and Science With Oliver Wood
Thursday, November 9, The Wood Brothers will swing into Nelsonville for a show at Stuart’s Opera House. About a year out from their latest release, Live From the Barn, recorded on Levon Helm’s legendary property in Woodstock, NY, the group is furiously touring throughout the United States.
WOUB’s Emily Votaw spoke with one part of the group, Oliver Wood, about performing in the hallowed space, as well as what it was like for he and his brother to grow up in between a father who was a molecular biologist and a mother who was a poet.
Tickets for the show are available now, $24 to $34 in advance, and $34 to $39 at the door. You can order them online at stuartsoperahouse.org or by calling 740-753-1924.
