The Trimble Tomcats conquered the Eastern Eagles for the second time this season with a score of 69-55.

Eastern won the tip off and began to press Trimble fast and hard. However, the Tomcats were not having any of it as they pushed back with a greater force.

The first half of the game was an emotional roller coaster as the score teetered back and forth between the two teams.

The Trimble defense just could not keep up with the Eagle offense resulting in a wide open three from Colton Reynolds of Eastern with 30 seconds left in the first quarter.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, Trimble came back into the second quarter full of determination and began to press Eastern.

The quarter ended in a last minute passing match between the Tomcats as they worked to keep Eastern away from the ball.

Nonetheless, the second half ended with a Tomcats lead of 26-19.

Trimble returned to the second half with victory insight and players like Cameron Kittle and Bryce Richards were able to get their hands on the ball.

Kittle had 13 points, two rebounds, and five assists. As well Bryce Richards was right on his tail with 16 points, two rebounds, and one assist. Richards is a player to watch out for as he was four for four on his three pointers tonight.

The two made a great team as the fourth quarter came about. Richards set up an incredible backward bounce pass to Kittle that lead to a two point score raise that continued through the game. Eastern began to feel the pressure as they called a timeout right after the play.

Unfortunately for the Eagles it was not enough to overcome Trimble.

Tomorrow the Tomcats look to keep the victories in sight as they take on Nelsonville-York, and we will see if Randy Hixson will reach the 1,000 point threshold. The senior is 12 points away.
