With 5:30 left in the first quarter Waterford lead Symmes Valley 7-5 when Waterford’s Racheal Adams gets the steal on an inbounds pass and then lays it in for the layup.

Not even five seconds later she steals it again on the in-bounds pass, hands it to Megan Ball and Ball drives to the bucket and finds Alli Kern for another layup.

This turned the momentum for the rest of the game as the Wildcats would run away with it 81-18.

The Wildcats just in the first quarter alone tallied 10 steals. Waterford was averaging a steal per minute. The Lady Wildcats rolled into halftime with a 55-14 lead.

Waterford head coach Jerry Close must have told them to keep things going because coming out of halftime Hannah and Hayley Duff lead the wildcats to 10 straight points.

The third quarter Waterford wouldn’t allow Symmes Valley a single point and only four points the entire second half.

The Lady Wildcats have not lost a game since their first game of the season, with the big three of Alli Kern, Megan Ball and Racheal Adams it’s not hard to see why.

Adams finished with 18 points, four steals and four assists. Megan led all scorers with 19 and not too far behind was Alli Kern with 16 points, four steals and seven rebounds.

Coach  Close added that when they are winning games like tonight they are able to get everyone out there.

“Well it’s nice to get everyone involved that was the thing several kids scored tonight.  That’s what makes it nice when we can get other people involved instead of Alli and Megan scoring so the other kids stepped up and did a nice job tonight.”

They didn’t play one of their starters in the fourth quarter allowing 9 of the 13 Lady Wildcats were able to get in the scoring column.

Waterford will be looking to get back to their 4th straight Final Four again this year and they will look to continue that pursuit next Thursday with the team TBA.
