Missing Man Found Dead In Scioto County
< < Back toAccording to a press release from the Scioto County Sheriff’s office, the body of a man reported missing has been found in Wheelersburg.
On Monday, May 7, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an individual at BCE Materials reporting they had found a body on the property. The body was located in a remote area of the property between US 52 and SR 522 near a sand and gravel pit alongside Pine Creek. It appeared the body had been there for some time.
The body was identified as 35-year-old Russell D. Bond Jr. of Wheelersburg who was reported missing on April 24, 2018 to the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office.
The body was transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. At this time the investigation continues into the death but it does not appear to be a homicide.
