In partnership with the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies, WOUB Public Media will present it’s fifth season of The Gladden House Sessions at the 2018 Nelsonville Music Festival. The Gladden House Sessions are WOUB’s original live music videos series, featuring short artist interviews and stripped-down performances on the porch of the historic Gladden House, located near the back of the Nelsonville Music Festival grounds.

The performance area has became a popular attraction, with renowned artists such as Lake Street Dive, Tyler Childers, Valerie June, The Black Lips, Pokey LaFarge, and Mandolin Orange drawing hordes of fans in previous years. This year features another remarkable lineup of artists, including Kevin Morby, Alex Maas of The Black Angels, Nick Waterhouse, Paul Thorn, and many more. The series was started in 2014 by OU MDIA Lecturer Josh Antonuccio and developed in partnership with NMF Director Tim Peacock and Marketing Director Brian Koscho. To date the Gladden House Sessions has garnered nearly 650,000 views online.

This year will see a slightly new and enhanced location for the Gladden House Sessions. In previous years, performances took place on the front porch of the Gladden House, this year’s sessions will take place on the back porch of the building. The location change will provide a newly-repurposed area for fans, a picturesque setting with both intimate shaded sections and surrounding elevated viewing spaces.

“We are thrilled at the artists we are welcoming to the Gladden House Sessions this year and can’t wait to share our modified location with festival attendees,” said Antonuccio, the producer and host of the Gladden House Sessions. “The student team puts together such a great experience for festival attendees and we anticipate another phenomenal season of noteworthy sessions to distribute over the summer.”

Episodes will be available online through woub.org, starting in the 2nd week of June. Here is the 2018 Gladden House Sessions schedule at the Nelsonville Music Festival. Additions and changes will be noted on site at the festival:
