Boogie On the Bricks Returns to Court Street June 30

Every summer Boogie on the Bricks brings with it a day chock full of community, art, music, and regional food and drink. This year the event is taking place on Saturday, June 30, populating most of Court Street from noon to 11 p.m. with a celebration that perhaps could be most easily summarized as a party for the whole town.

WOUB’s Emily Votaw spoke with Judy Wymer, the event coordinator for Boogie, as well as Cory Fletcher, the assistant event coordinator for the event, about the history of the beloved community party, what we can expect from Boogie on the Bricks 2018, and why Boogie is such an important part of summertime in Athens.
