WOUB Golf Benefit Returns July 20

Right in the midst of the 2018 Ohio Brew Week, WOUB Public Media is holding their second annual Golf Benefit on Friday, July 20 at the Athens Country Club, with the event kicking off with registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
“This event is a great opportunity to enjoy a round of golf at the Athens Country Club, and a terrific way to support local public broadcasting,” said Jeannie Jeffers, the coordinator for the event. “We look forward to the event being a fun community experience for everyone involved.”
This year WOUB will be fielding a team consisting of morning radio host Chris Riddle, WOUB’s newsroom’s Susan Tebben, the recently retired Tim Myers, and Loring Lovett of WOUB’s underwriting department.
The tournament format will be a four man scramble, with an optional skins game, skill prizes, a continental breakfast and catered lunch, and an Ohio Brew Week tasting event featuring brews from Great Lakes Brewing, Little Fish Brewing, and Devil’s Kettle Brewing. All proceeds will go towards the programming and operations at WOUB.
