On Friday, the Crooksville Ceramics (0-4) will square off against the Tri Valley Scotties (3-0) Friday at 7:30 p.m. on their home turf.

Tri Valley will be looking to rack up yet another win to their season, while Crooksville will be trying for their first win.

Crooksville has shaped up to be the underdog of this match by a wide margin, going against an absolutely electric Tri Valley offense, which has proved itself from the get go this season, outscoring their opponents 153-39 in their last three games. The Ceramics, on the other hand, have been outscored 124-14 in their last 4 games, only scoring a single touchdown in both of their games against Fisher Catholic.

Crooksville coach Casey Vallee has commented on the upcoming game, saying “It’s very much a big guy versus little guy situation. We’ve just got to do our best to keep the ball away from [Tri Valley] and do our best.”

The Ceramics have been looking to minimize injuries this year, especially since star player Caden Miller suffered a torn ACL during a scrimmage earlier this year. Starting against Tri Valley will be freshman Noah Dickerson. Coach Vallee provided further comment, stating, “Despite a few bad turns, we’re looking to give it our all, minimize injuries, and just do our best.”

Tri Valley has proved consistently dominant in seasons past as well as in their games this season, nearly shutting out Logan 48-7 and Morgan 71-6, and outing Zanesville 34-26 last week.

Many signs point to a Tri Valley victory Friday night. The Scotties offense has shown time and time again to be dominant and a force to be reckoned with. No matter what, this will certainly prove to be a challenge for Crooksville.
