ATHENS, Ohio – A former Glouster priest charged in connection with an admitted sexual relationship with a minor is scheduled to appear before the Athens County Court of Common Pleas Tuesday.

Henry Christopher Foxhoven, 45, a former Catholic priest in the Diocese of Steubenville now faces a bill of information alleging three counts of Sexual Battery.

The use of a bill of information means a defendant has waived their right for a grand jury to hear the case.

Foxhoven is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor female between August 17 and October 25, according to Prosecutor Keller Blackburn. The minor is a member of Holy Cross in Glouster, one of Foxhoven’s two parishes.

A search warrant of Foxhoven’s residence conducted before his arrest found “evidence of criminal activity, such as several used condoms and a used pregnancy test with a positive indication.”

Foxhoven was suspended from practicing all religious services and was barred from church property by the head of the Diocese of Steubenville prior to his arrest on October 30.
