West Virginia Teen Accused Of Killing Mother

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) – Police say a 19-year-old West Virginia man is charged with murder in the death of his mother.
Parkersburg Police Chief Joe Martin told news outlets that Jared Kessler is accused of killing 50-year-old Carol Ann Kessler at their residence. Police say they were called to the home Friday morning and found the body, which had been stabbed multiple times, and then found the son at a homeless shelter covered in blood.
Martin said Jared Kessler told police he and his mother had a verbal argument that turned violent.
Kessler is being held at North Central Regional Jail. Online jail records don’t say whether he has an attorney.
