Cruising through the first half, the Lady Lancers threw together their best offensive performance of the year. Federal Hocking put up 41 points in the first half thanks to a breakout game from sophomore point guard, Paige Tolson.

The Lady Lancers pressure forced South Gallia to make mistakes throughout the game and from then on Federal Hocking seemed to convert every opportunity they had.-=

In the first half, Paige Tolson would go on a tear, scoring 17 of the Lady Lancers 41 first-half points, she would lead the game in scoring after a 22 point outburst this evening. She also chalked up 6 assists to go along with it.

Jeremy Tolson, head coach for Federal Hocking, was asked about Paige’s performance after the game. “We ask her to do a lot, she delivered big and stepped up for us tonight,” Tolson said.

The offense kept rolling in the second half as Hannah Rose and Emma Beha were able to settle down and find a groove. Rose finished the fourth quarter with 8 points and Beha would finish with 11 points.

Federal Hocking would close out the second half with a 67-36 final score.

For South Gallia, Jessie Rutt and Kiley Stapleton lead the way. Stapleton would finish the game with a team-high 12 points and would finish 5-7 from the free-throw line. Rutt would finish with a close 10 points and grab a team-high 8 rebounds.

After the game, Jeremy Tolson was very impressed with the way defense played.

“I am very happy with the way we ran the press today” … “We stress mentality here, when we give our max effort, we look great,” Tolson claimed.
