As 2018 draws to a close, area businesses and organizations are hosting a number of different parties to celebrate the past year and welcome in 2019. Check out the list below for a few fun New Year’s Eve events happening in Marietta, Lancaster and Athens.

1. Rewind Remix New Year’s Eve Party in Marietta

Hosted at the Adelphia Music Hall on Second Street, the Rewind Remix New Year’s Eve Party will feature performances from an array of DJs, including DJ Kos, live from Las Vegas. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 9 p.m.

“We generally do four to six parties a year, all with different themes,” said Nate Shahan, general manager and entertainment director at the Adelphia. “This is the third year in a row that [the Adelphia has] thrown a party on or around New Year’s Eve.”

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Both include a champagne toast. Groups of four can also purchase tables with a free bottle of champagne. Dance floor tables are $100 and balcony tables are $200. Tickets and tables can be purchased here.

2. New Year’s Eve party at the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta

The Lafayette Hotel will also be hosting a New Year’s Eve party with live classic rock, country and bluegrass music from the Titus Canbe Band. Doors open at 8 p.m. and music starts at 8:30 p.m. Two different ticket packages are on sale: Package A includes the party, party favors, a champagne toast and a midnight breakfast buffet for $35 per person or $65 per couple. Package B includes everything in package A for two people along with overnight accommodations in a Victorian room starting at $149.95 per person. To make reservations, call 740-373-5522.

3. NYE in Downtown Lancaster

The Destination Downtown Lancaster organization will be hosting its first ever New Year’s Eve party at The Mill Event Center. The Columbus band Popgun will perform, and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served along with a champagne toast at midnight. A local food truck, Free Chee, will also serve complimentary grilled cheese and tomato soup to anyone who wants a late night snack, says Amanda Everitt, executive director of Destination Downtown Lancaster.

“When we started planning this event, we knew we wanted people to go to dinner at one of our fantastic restaurants downtown,” she said. “This event allows for people to eat with friends and family at any of the wonderful eateries and then stay in downtown Lancaster for great entertainment afterward. We have a delightfully walkable community so that folks can stroll through our historic streets between the businesses and truly take in all that Lancaster has to offer.”

The party starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here.

4. New Year’s Eve party at Rollerbowl Lanes in Athens
