WOUB Launches Online Merchandise Shop

ATHENS, OH – Looking for the perfect, unique gift this holiday season for that person in your life who loves local history? WOUB Public Media now has the perfect place for you to find it – our new online merchandise shop. WOUB has launched a website where you can purchase DVDs of locally-produced documentaries including the popular Our Town series.
“We know these documentaries are important to people in our communities because they verify stories passed down to them by their grandparents and great grandparents. They also are a way to pass the stories down to the next generation,” said WOUB General Manager Mark Brewer. “This new website allows people to see the many historical documentaries created by WOUB and gives them easy access to purchase them to bring those stories to life in their homes.”
You can also find other items for sale on the site, including a tote back with a retro WOUB logo on it, along with coffee mugs and tumblers with the logos of several WOUB radio programs.
“WOUB’s programming represents the unique culture of the region that we serve,” said Brewer. “We know that many identify with the kinds of music programming they hear on WOUB radio and would love to own something representing that program. We’ve sent those kind of items to people who support WOUB during our pledge drives. But, this provides another way for them to support us and own an item with the logo of a program that they love.”
