Conversations From Studio B: The Athens County Community Singers
< < Back toThe Athens County Community Singers is a choir for ALL VOICES! The choir is a non profit organization made up of community members with and without disabilities who share their love of music through song.
Founder and Director Stephanie Morris MM, MT-BC (Music Therapist -Board Certified) Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow., spoke with Robin Barnes in Conversations from Studio B. They discussed the power of music therapy through choir membership and its impact on emotional, social and physical wellness. They talked about the evolution of the choir, which has tripled in size to about 35 members in just a few short years and the creation of the youth choir the Beacon Singers.
