Top Tunes 2010-2019: Chris Pyle
< < Back to2020 marks a brand new decade, and what would a decade be without reflecting on the albums that defined it? This feature is part of a series highlighting what some of the most music-centric people in the region listened to over the past 10 years.
These are the albums that I couldn’t listen to enough over the last 10 years. I reviewed my past yearly lists and realized that I don’t listen much to some of the albums that made it onto my past lists. I also noticed that there are some albums that I listen to quite a lot that were either not ranked high or were not even on one of my yearly best of lists.
This gives me a chance to right some wrongs after having more time to assess many of these albums.
The only “rule” I used to make this list: no more than one album by an artist (even though Courtney Barnett, Jason Isbell and a handful of others would have had more than one). This rule was simply to be able to have more artists on the list to make it more dynamic and interesting.
