Two Arrested On Heroin Trafficking Charges In The Plains

Two people are now in custody after a Tuesday morning raid in The Plains. According to the Athens County Sheriff’s Office, the Special Response Team  and deputies showed up at a home on Bean Road with a search warrant.

Sheriff Rodney Smith says 14 grams of heroin, digital scales, and nearly $500 dollars were confiscated.

52 year old Robert D. Westerviller and 29 year old Ashley L. Woods were sent to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail. Both are facing felony charges of trafficking heroin in an amount over 10 grams in a school zone. Authorities say additional charges are expected.
