Several Polling Locations Change in Southeast Ohio Due to Coronavirus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOUB) — Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced several polling places will be moved due to the threat of COVID-19 in the state.

LaRose has directed all county boards of elections to change voting places that are located where senior citizens reside.

Ohio’s primary election is Tuesday, March 17.

Below are locations in southeast Ohio that will change. Click here for the updated list from the Secretary of State’s office.

Athens County 

Old location: Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare, 100 Hospital Dr., Athens.

New location: Ohio Means Jobs facility, 510 W. Union St., Athens.

Belmont County

Old location: Country Club Retirement Center, 55801 Conno Mara Dr., Bellaire.

New location: Not yet announced.

Hocking County

Old location: Logan High School Gym, 14470 OH-328, Logan.

New location: The Chieftain Center, 14637 OH-328, Logan.

Scioto County

Old location: Hillview Retirement Center, 1610 28th St., Portsmouth.

New location: Not yet announced.

Ross County

Old location: Chillicothe Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center, 17273 OH-104, Chillicothe.

New location: Ross County Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Building, 344 Fairgrounds Rd., Chillicothe.
