WHEELERSBURG, Ohio (WOUB) — Authorities in Scioto County believe they have the person responsible for a brutal kidnapping and robbery.
In February, an 84-year-old man arrived home to find a man in his house in Wheelersburg. The victim was robbed, beaten, then left locked in his car trunk after the suspect stole and wrecked it.

Investigators say the evidence pointed to 51-year-old Thomas Glass whose last known address was also in Wheelersburg.
According to a press release, The Scioto County Sheriff’s office, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force K-9 unit, and the Portsmouth Police Department worked together to locate Glass. He was arrested Sunday morning after a foot chase in the Kendall Heights apartment complex.

Glass is facing aggravated burglary and kidnapping charges.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini says the investigation is still open and more charges could follow. He’s asking for anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Jodi Conkel at (740) 351-1091. All information will be kept confidential.
