Like most everything else, Radio Free Athens has been impacted by the current situation pertaining to COVID-19, which the World Health Organization has deemed a pandemic. Although you won’t get to hear your favorite DJs on the air for a while, we will be supplying faithful listeners with playlists in the meantime. Find them below!

From R@T

Movies have been a good distraction lately. They are an opportunity to turn off the news, gloom and doom and forget, for a couple of hours, everything that we have to worry about. Jobs, money, family, friends. (One exception is the first X-Files movie that is based on a virus) A few days ago the parade scene of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off somehow got into my brain. That got me to thinking about other films that the late John Hughes has writing, directing or some other credit for. They had some great music in them and they are the basis of this week’s playlist. I hope that it can provide a distraction to you.

From Planes, Trains and Automobiles:
Steve Earle & The Dukes- 6 Days on the Road

From Vacation:
