Ohio Attorney General Tests Positive For Coronavirus< < Back to
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The office of Ohio Attorney General says he is feeling well after a positive test for the coronavirus. Republican Dave Yost is in his first term as the state’s top law enforcement official.
Yost spokesman Steve Irwin said Thursday that Yost tested positive over the holidays.
Yost is the first statewide officeholder to test positive.
Gov. Mike DeWine announced a positive test last year but a follow-up test hours later was negative.
Data show Ohio’s case numbers remain high but the 7-day rolling average of daily new cases did not increase over the past two weeks.
