Fairland Spoils Davis Stadium Opening Day In 55-7 Rout

OAK HILL, Ohio (WOUB) — Following a week one battle in West Portsmouth, the Fairland Dragons traveled to Davis Stadium in Oak Hill to duke it out with the Oaks.
It was the Dragons who jumped out to a commanding 21-7 lead after the first quarter. Once Fairland gained the lead they would not look back, cruising to a 55-7 victory.
The Dragons saw big contributions from their special teams with a punt and kick-off return in last night’s affair. In the first two weeks, the Dragons have averaged 40 yards per punt return this season. Fairland will seek to continue their momentum into week three with a key conference matchup against the Fighting Tigers of Ironton.
