THE PLAINS, Ohio (WOUB) — Gallia Academy (2-0) made a visit to Joe Burrow Stadium to take on Athens High School (0-1).

The Blue Devils’ defense would constrict the Bulldog’s offense for the entire game. It started with an interception by Pallo Jones, and continued throughout the night with swarming tacklers.

The score got out of hand early with four first-half touchdowns by the Blue Devils, three coming in the second quarter alone. The first and third scores came on a four-yard and one-yard run from Hudson Shamblin. Hunter Shamblin scored the second TD of the game from one yard. Brody Allure added the fourth score right before halftime.

The Blue Devils would add one final score later into the night to lock the final score at 34-0.
