Nelsonville-York Dominate On Both Sides Of The Ball, Defeat River Valley 48-13

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WOUB) – The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (1-3) faced off against the River Valley Raiders (1-1) looking for their first win of the season.

On the Buckeyes’ first drive down the field, running back Tommy Mitchell pushed into the goal line from the 1-yard line. Mitchell would tally up another touchdown with a 30-yard run to the house.

Nelsonville-York’s defense would force a fumble on the Raiders, which quarterback Drew Carter turned into a touchdown pass to wide receiver Landon Inman. Carter continued his passing excellence with three more passing touchdowns and a 72-yard scramble into the end zone.

Nelsonville-York would win this contest 48-13. The Buckeyes head to Oak Hills for their next bout as River Valley is scheduled to battle the Meigs Marauders.
