WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio (WOUB) — It was a great night for some football as the Jackson Ironmen traveled to play the Washington Court House Blue Lions in a Frontier Athletic Conference matchup. The Ironmen defense dominated the game on their way to a 62-27 victory to stay undefeated in conference play.

The first half was action-packed as Jackson quickly went up 14-0 after the first quarter, with touchdowns from Eli Broermann on the ground and Cade Wolford through the air.

The Ironmen defense came up big Friday night as they managed to get four turnovers, two interceptions and two fumbles, and the Jackson offense was able to capitalize, scoring after each turnover.

Ironmen quarterback Jacob Winters had a massive game, finishing the night with eight completions on 11 attempts for 156 yards and four touchdowns. He also got it done on the ground, rushing the ball for 111 yards on 12 carries.

Jackson’s special teams played extremely well by setting up their offense in great field position by blocking two punts, both putting the Ironmen inside the Blue Lions’ five-yard line.

The Jackson defense shut down the Blue Lions run game allowing only 47 yards on the ground.

Blue Lions wide receiver Calum Brown had a huge game with eight catches for 146 yards and one touchdown.

The Ironmen (6-2) look to continue their four-game winning streak as they travel to play the Miami Trace Panthers (6-2) in a battle between the last unbeaten teams in the conference. Washington Court House (3-4) hopes to end their two-game skid as they hit the road to play the Hillsboro Indians (3-5).
