WOUB Wednesday: Buckeye Broadband’s Buckeye Cable Sports Network Program Director/Anchor Justin Feldkamp

ATHENS, OH – Justin Feldkamp will talk about his journey through television news and sports at the next WOUB Wednesday on November 3 at 7:30 p.m.
“WOUB Wednesdays are a great way to provide students the opportunity to talk with industry professionals virtually,” said WOUB Director of Student Professional Development Michael Rodriguez.
Feldkamp worked in the WOUB Newsroom as a student television sports anchor for NewsWatch and worked on WOUB’s high school football program Gridiron Glory. He now hosts a half-hour interview show on the Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) called Inside Out with Justin Feldkamp. Before making the move to BCSN in November 2020, Feldkamp was working at WTVG in Toledo, where he was sports director and then became a news anchor. Feldkamp says he learned about how important local sports coverage was to the spirit and pride of a community while covering southeastern Ohio high school sports for WOUB.
“Throughout fall semester, we have several former WOUB students scheduled to talk with current students and alumni,” said WOUB Community Engagement Manager Cheri Russo. “The former students are excited to share what they have learned out in the industry with current and former WOUB students.”
The next and final WOUB Wednesday speaker of Fall Semester will be ESPN Crewing Supervisor Kim Kanner on November 10.
The virtual discussions are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. throughout the semester and are open to all current and former WOUB students as well as WOUB staff. Those interested can register at bit.ly/WOUBWednesday Registration is required for each session.
