The unofficial 2021 General Election results for Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB)– Unofficial results for Tuesday’s election in Monroe County are in. With all 20 precincts reporting, 31.98% of registered voters turned out on Tuesday.

The county’s contested races include those for Township Trustee in Adams Township, Benton Township, Bethel Township, Center Township, Franklin Township, Jackson Township, Lee Township, Malaga Township, Ohio Township, Salem Township, Seneca Township, Sunsbury Township, Washington Township and Wayne Township. 

In the race for Benton Township Trustees, Michael K. Cisler and David Hensel defeated Bruce R.Haught for the two available seats. In Adams Township, Tim Dierkes and Timothy B. Ollom defeated Thomas M. Rouse for the two available trustee seats. 

In Bethel Township, Roger Kuhn and Rodney Weckbacher defeated Dana A. Parks for the two available trustee seats. In Center Township, Charles L. Brooks and Douglas E. Yontz defeated David C. Speelman for the two available trustee seats. In Franklin Township, Donald V. Hogue and Cliff Delong defeated Charles Taylor Winland for the two available trustee seats.

In Jackson Township, Ronnie W. Conley and Billy Thompson defeated Albert E. Clutter for the two available trustee seats. In Lee Township, Jesse Merckle and Terry McPeek defeated three opponents, along with some write-ins, to take the two available trustee seats. 

In Malaga Township, Jerry Hossman and Joey Lang defeated three others to take the two available trustee seats. In Ohio Township, Rodney Nething and Joe Pyles defeated Donald Riggenback for the two available trustee seats. In Salem Township, Jason Dietrich and John A. Miller defeated three opponents to take the two available trustee seats. 

In Seneca Township, Timothy R. Carpenter and David L. Dixon defeated Bradly M. Snyder for the two available trustee seats. In Summit Township, Brad Dimmerling and Rob Dimmerlind defeated Kevin W. Nalley for the two available trustee seats. In Sunsbury Township, Matthew Milhoan and Ernie H. VanDyne defeated George R. Hoover for the two available trustee seats. 

In Washington Township, Larry E. Gardner and Keith Knowlton defeated Brad Loch for the two available trustee seats. In Wayne Township, Steven W. Lucas and Clayton E. Weddle defeated Derek Bright and Jimmy Williams for the two available trustee seats. 

All levies up for vote in Monroe County were approved.
