PLAIN CITY, Ohio (WOUB) – The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs took on the Clinton-Massie Falcons in the state semi-finals in division four.

The game started out hot from the opening kickoff. Bloom-Carroll received, and Beau Wisecarver took it 75-yards all the way to the house to give the Bulldogs an early 7-0 lead.

Clinton-Massie would not score until the first play of the second quarter in which Carter Frank would take a handoff and go 50 yards for a touchdown to make it 7-7.

The Bulldogs would then have a stand on the goal line in the third quarter with the Falcon offense forcing them to kick a field goal, the score was now 17-7 Falcons.

The Bulldogs would then find the madden side of the playbook on their next drive, quarterback K.J. Bendedict tossed the ball to Wisecarver who then rolled out and threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Totten. The halfback pass brought the score within three 17-14.

The Falcons would then drive down the field and Colton Trampler capped off the drive with a 3-yard rushing touchdown setting the deficit back to ten, 24-14.

The Bulldog offense wasn’t going down without a fight as Benedict found himself 5 yards from the endzone, he rolled to his right and found Totten once again for six. The score was now 24-21.

The Bulldog defense was able to stop a Falcon fake punt and get the ball back in Falcon territory, but the offense then gave it right back to Clinton-Massie, fumbling around the three-yard line.

The Bulldogs season comes to an end with the reaching the state semifinals, but not quite reaching the state championship they were hunting for. As for Clinton-Massie, they move on to the state final against Youngstown Ursuline on December 3rd.
