After securing another TVC-Ohio title, the Athens Bulldogs find themselves in a rough start to the season as they look to rebuild.

The Bulldogs graduated some key players, including all-state special mention Brayden Whiting, and will be looking to utilize younger players who have little varsity experience.

“Last year with so many seniors, the sophmores of last year just didn’t get a lot of time in the varsity games,” head coach Mickey Cozart said. “It has taken some time but we are getting better every day.”

Athens has also been faced with challenges that have not allowed them the chance to play with a full roster.

The Bulldogs will look to utilize their young core in order to continue to be a threat in the TVC and make a run in the playoffs.
