CARROLL, Ohio (WOUB) — Bloom Carroll dominated the field winning their first game of the season against the John Glenn Muskies 28-12, making their comeback after a rocky opening game last Friday. After an honorary senior night ceremony, the Bulldogs scored back-to-back touchdowns heading into the second quarter, and two touchdowns in the second. While John Glenn went scoreless in the first quarter, they managed to hit pay dirt in the second and third quarter. It wouldn’t be enough for the Bulldogs as Dylan Armentrout runs a 54-yard touchdown in the third to extend their lead 28-12. The Bulldogs took John Glenn to the pound for the rest of the game leaving them scoreless through the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs wrapped up their game with 335 rushing yards, while John Glenn ended with only 103. Chase Plantz made it to the end zone twice within ten minutes in the first and second. Ethan Thanthanavong then takes it to the house after the Muskies score before the half. Overall Thanthanavong went 4-5 and 32 passing yards. While impact play maker Dylan Armentrout rushed 217 yards and 16 carries. Andrew Marshall is the go-to man when it comes to running the ball into Muskies territory and rushed a total of 41 yards. The defense heavy team showed up on the field, as the team continues to use this to their advantage with new head coach Jeremy McKinney. McKinney’s new strategies are starting to bring the team success on the field.

Bloom Carroll looks to get back on the right foot and get a second win in their next game against Jonathan Alder on Friday.
