DIY Science Time investigates the world through experiments, demonstrations, and activities. Viewers are invited to join along with host Mister C and his science crew to complete fun DIY science experiments using household materials. DIY Science Time is designed for students in grades 4-6, but may also be of interest to younger or older children.

Bee Bots

Have you tried Bee Bots? This is a great way to introduce young learners to coding. Teachers love them because they are easy to learn and do not require use of a tablet. All coding commands are input right on the Bee Bot with the arrow symbols. These are one of our more popular items so we purchased some additional mats for check out. We also have a lot of teacher created materials which connect to early learning Math and Literacy activities.

What’s coming from PBS Learning Media

PBS LearningMedia is currently seeking ELA and Social Studies educators in grades 6-12 to pilot test educational materials created for the Ken Burns in the Classroom collection. This paid opportunity will require implementing materials in your class, providing sample work, and when possible, allowing classroom observation by a member of the PBS LearningMedia team. Family Webinar Series

Oct 12th at 6pm

Another feature of the Ohio Learns 360 project kicks off this month with our Family Webinar Series. This month’s topic is Closing The Learning Gap.

The webinar will discuss how educators, administrators and parents worked tirelessly to keep students engaged over the past two-and-a-half school years. Even with these efforts, we are discovering larger-than-normal gaps in learning. Join this webinar to look at how schools will work to close these learning gaps and what parents can do to help.
