TVC-Ohio Boys’ Standings
After continuing their undefeated record in-conference with a win against Meigs last Friday, the Vikings will look to continue it this week.
On Tuesday, Vinton County will be taking on River Valley at home and then on Friday they will head to Wellston to take on the Golden Rockets. To round out their week, they will have an out-of-conference game against McClain on Saturday.
The Buckeyes dropped a close-one against the TVC-Hocking’s Trimble Tomcats early in the week. However, they responded well with a comfortable win at Athens.
Nelsonville-York’s only game this week is an in-conference test against the Alexander Spartans on Friday.
With their blowout loss against Fairfield Union, Alexander has now dropped two in a row heading into their first conference matchup since mid-December. They will look to bounce back and break the three-way tie for third with a win against Meigs on Tuesday.
Losers of five of their last six games, the Bulldogs have a lot of work to do in the standings. However, after close losses against Nelsonville-York and Federal Hocking, they appear to be heading in the right direction with two in-conference matchups this week.
After a home game against Wellson on Tuesday they will travel to Meigs to take on the Marauders on Friday. Athens will also have an out-of-conference game against Logan Elm on Saturday.
Despite last week’s loss to Vinton County, Meigs still has plenty of opportunities to make some noise in the TVC-Ohio race. Their next five games are against in-conference opponents with several winninable matchups.
The Marauders will look to make a jump in the standings with their Tuesday matchup against Alexander and on Friday against Athens.
The Golden Rockets won for the first time in the TVC-Ohio last week against River Valley. They will look to continue that momentum with games against Athens and Vinton County this week.
The Raiders losing streak has ballooned to eight games after starting the season with two wins in their first four games. The Raiders have a difficult matchup against Vinton County on Tuesday.
TVC-Ohio Girls’ Standings
The scorching-hot Bulldogs cooled off this week with their seven game winning streak coming to an end against Logan Elm. They, however, were able to win their only in-conference game of the week against Wellston.
Athens will look to maintain their first-place spot in the TVC-Ohio with a win against River Valley on Wednesday.
Nelsonville-York pushed their winning streak up to five games with a commanding win at Trimble last week.
On Tuesday they will head to Belpre for an out-of-conference game and then on Thursday they will have an in-conference game against Alexander.
The Marauders comfortably beat Alexander last week and will look to continue that momentum this upcoming week.
On Monday, they have an out-of-conference game against Eastern and then they have an in-conference matchup against Vinton County on Thursday.
After a win against Vinton County last week, the Raiders are trending in the right direction. This week will definitely be a good test for River Valley, with an out-of-conference matchup against Oak Hill on Monday and a game against the Athens Bulldogs on Wednesday.
The Vikings have lost six straight, including three losses last week. With difficult matchups this week against Meigs and Trimble, Vinton County will have a good test before the stretch run.
Despite their solid overall record, Wellston is still struggling to find their footing in the TVC-Ohio. After last week’s loss to Athens, they are looking to bounce back against River Valley this week.
After losing to Meigs and Federal Hocking last week, Alexander is still searching for their first win. They will try to find it against either Jackson or Nelsonville-York this week.
