NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WOUB) – The ABC Players open their production of Tiny Beautiful Things Sept. 28 at Stuart’s Opera House (32 Public Square).

Adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos, Tiny Beautiful Things is based on Cheryl Strayed’s acclaimed book of the same title. The story delves into Strayed’s intriguing stint as the anonymous and unpaid advice columnist known as Dear Sugar, where she engages with strangers on the internet who confide their deepest secrets. The production is filled with humor, profound insights, and aims to spark genuine compassion.

WOUB’s Emily Votaw interviewed the production’s director, Allison Epperson; as well as cast members Gabrielle Johnston, Joe Balding, and Lee Carter. They explore the production’s themes and more. Listen to the conversation embedded in the SoundCloud link above.
