JACKSON, Ohio (WOUB)- After three straight road games, the Ironmen came back home to host the McClain Tigers with a chance to clinch at least a share of the FAC title.

Jackson definitely looked like a team gunning for the title as they started as fast as possible on offense. Their first two offensive plays went to the house. The first, a 62 yard run by Nolan Johnson, and the second was a 42 yard reception by Cade Wolford.

From there, the Ironmen really never looked back. Cade Wolford was able to punch three more touchdowns in just the first quarter, which put Jackson up 35 before the first 12 minutes were even up.

Second quarter and Ryan Siemetz started to get in on the action. Siemetz put a nasty double move on the McCalin defensive back for the first of his two touchdowns.

Right in the middle of those two touchdowns had Andrew Potts taking the pitch and tossing it deep to Owen Sykes for a 39 yard touchdown. This meant the Ironmen went into the locker rooms with a 49-7 lead for the second straight week.

If you can believe it, the second half started even faster than the first. Jackson’s Eli Ray took the opening kick return to the house.

After that, it was a running clock for the entire half. Each team’s quarterback in Drake Stapleton and CJ Crabtree were able to get a rushing touchdown.

Another monster day for Cade Wolford even though he only had consistent playing time in the first quarter. Wolford finished with seven rushes for 176 yards and two touchdowns.

Next week Jackson hosts Chillicothe, and Coach Hall said you can throw the records out when these two teams play. Jackson will need to win to take sole possession of the FAC title

For McClain they drop to 1-3 in the conference, and host a 5-4 Hillsboro team with a top notch running back in Austin Barrett.
