THORNVILLE, Ohio (WOUB)- The Tri-Valley Scotties traveled to Thornville to battle the Sheridan Generals in a rival Muskingum Valley League matchup.

The Generals started the game with the ball and made it down the field easily until a sack forced Sheridan to kick a field goal, the Generals led 3-0.

After Sheridan’s Ben Fox pulled in an interception, Justin Munyan ran in a touchdown for the Generals, who still led 10-0.

Although down, Tri-Valley was not out, Jayden Wallace ran the ball down the field and punched in a Scottie touchdown, 10-7 Sheridan.

After three straight punts, Tri-Valley found themselves on offense. Ashton Sensibaugh scored a touchdown after a huge run, and for the first time, the Scotties led the game, 14-10.

After Tri-Valley picked off Logan Hupp’s pass, Ben Fox intercepted the ball right back, his second of the night.

After halftime, both teams were hungry to take the game by the reigns. Two huge plays by the General’s wide receivers moved them down the field. Sheridan was able to run in a one-yard Justin Munyan touchdown, taking back the lead, 17-14.

On their next drive, the Scotties found themselves stopped on fourth down and were going to punt it away, but it was faked for the first down. Jaden Wallace ran Tri-Valley down the field which allowed Ashton Sensibaugh to receive the touchdown. The Scotties led 21-17.

With time running down both teams punted the ball away, but the Generals needed a touchdown. 2:19 remained when Sheridan ran into offensive issues. Fourth down loomed and the Generals went for it, Logan Hupp threw a beautiful deep ball to James Soloman but it was brought back due to a holding penalty.

Sheridan ended up turning over on downs at the 6-yard line where Jaden Wallace had no issue punching in another touchdown, ending the game with a 28-17 Tri-Valley win.
